The idea of TrekWatch came to me when I wanted to join two friends of mine on the Kepler and simply couldn't get a space. I hung around Te Anau for a few days and went to the DOC office almost every hour, but there was nothing. Eventually one of my friends got injured so I took her place, but the idea of a service that will save all this trouble started to develop in my mind. I created TrekWatch to help people be spontaneous; to give a
chance to people that otherwise wouldn't try, to enjoy the Milford; and to save
hours of precious time and money spent on phone calls and Internet access.
I opened this site with the intention to keep it free. I belive
it should be free, but I'm not sure that it'll be possible. To help me keep it
free, I ask your help. If you know anyone who might be interested to advertise
on this site, please send him to me. If you can supply me with a free or a very
cheap way to send international SMS messages, contact me ASAP.
